The Pullman ZamZam Madinah sits in the central zone within walking distance of Masjid an-Nabawi. 5 nights leaves room for your Rawdah booking and the main Ziyarat sites at an unhurried pace, though guided Ziyarat is not part of this package. Meals are not included here either.

Visa and entry requirements
The visa
This departure is priced on the Electronic Visa Waiver route, and the EVW is included in the package. British passport holders can also perform Umrah on a Saudi tourist eVisa outside the Hajj season — GOV.UK sets out the routes. Passports need six months' validity from the date you enter Saudi Arabia.
The meningitis certificate
There is no flexibility in this one. A valid MenACWY certificate must be dated at least 10 days before you arrive in Saudi Arabia, and it applies to everyone aged one year and over. Conjugate certificates are accepted for five years, and the NaTHNaC Hajj and Umrah factsheet carries the detail. It is arranged by you rather than by us — most GP surgeries charge adults privately, so book about six weeks out.
Frequently asked questions
Is 10 nights long enough for Umrah?
10 nights is comfortably enough for more than one Umrah, unhurried prayer at both Harams and the full Ziyarat circuit. The extra nights cost far less per night than the first seven, because flights and the visa are fixed costs whatever the length of stay.
Is November the quietest time for Umrah?
November is the quietest month of the UK Umrah year. Makkah sits around 23 to 33°C, comfortable at any hour, and both Harams are less crowded than at any other point before Ramadan. It also prices below December, because it falls before the school-holiday rush rather than inside it.
Do children need their own passport for Umrah?
Yes. Saudi Arabia no longer accepts children travelling on a parent's passport, so every child needs their own, valid for at least six months from the date you enter the country. Apply early — a first child passport takes longer than a renewal, and the visa cannot be issued without it.
How long does a UK Umrah visa take?
British passport holders travel on an Electronic Visa Waiver, which is issued online rather than through an embassy appointment, so allow weeks rather than months. Check the inclusions list above for whether it is covered in this package's price or charged separately. Delays almost always come from the paperwork, not the processing — an expired passport, a missing MenACWY certificate, or a child without their own passport. Get those three right and the visa is rarely what holds a booking up.
How far ahead should I book this departure?
As early as you can for a fixed-date departure, because the seats and rooms on it are finite and do not reopen once gone. School-holiday dates go first, then the cheapest grades. For Ramadan, UK pilgrims are generally advised to plan six to eight months ahead; outside it, two to four months is usually enough.
Is the meningitis vaccination compulsory?
Yes. A MenACWY certificate dated at least 10 days before you arrive in Saudi Arabia is compulsory for every pilgrim aged one year and over. Conjugate vaccine certificates last five years. Most UK surgeries treat it as a private travel vaccine for adults, so book the appointment around six weeks before departure.
